As we enjoyed beautiful Fall colors this year we also enjoyed several visits from children, grandchildren, and dogs. We had lots of fun activities from horseback riding to pumpkin painting to a hay ride and due to our unseasonably warm weather, even a swim in the pond!
We finished the fencing of the last of our new pastures, so all is now complete. We then headed off to our woods to make some new trails. While working on the trails I noticed some claw marks in the bark of one of our beech trees from black bears in search of beech nuts, one of their favorites (photo attached). The majority of the farm machinery has been cleaned and stowed in the barn until next season. The attached photos are of the gang and our activities. Even our foals enjoyed the extra activity and attention.
